Interesting cultural things

So here are some neat things everyone seems to be doing:
Rolling their own cigarettes
Eating huge lunches
Buying fresh bread every morning
Food is wayyy cheaper here
the beer is sooooo good
Its brewed all over, in cute small breweries
Sparkling water!
Political awareness is way up
Everyone speaks English
Weird duvet over things instead of sheets
Really flat low beds
No dryers! Ahhh
Lol

We leave for a sailing trip in the Netherlands in 2 days!

First Few Days :)

Day 1:
I met Rene at the airport! It was an awesome day :) we went to see his university and then took my stuff to the apartment. It's in a really pretty area, pedestrian only, so we walked a while with the bags. There are shops and cafes everywhere, with people playing music outside and cobblestone streets. I had doner kebab for the first time :p Rene's favorite street food. After unpacking a bit we met up with Rene's roommate Steffen (schteffen), and his friends Michael (misha) and Thomas (tomas). We all walked down to this really neat bar with wine bottle candles and sofas (and beers for .70€).

Day 2: during the day I caught up on sleep and unpacked while Rene played music outside for a bit (and made 54€ in a half hour). Then we went to one of his friends birthday parties, there we met up with Micha and Steffen and had a BBQ, which was pretty cool. No buns, but brotts and grilled chicken, and bacon on a stick :) we drank a bunch of wine in the little park behind luci's house and then the four of our group walked through a park and climbed over a fence behind a palace to get to a student bar in the basement of the palace. Lol micha's roommate was the lead singer of the band there, it was sort of a hardcore show meets etherial melodies. And it was in such an interesting place. It was super chilly so we took the bus home :)

Day 3: rene decided that I had to ride a bike :p lol so I practiced in his court yard for a bit and then we started off around this city, mostly in the parks. We saw a bunch of castles and ended up at a brewry right on a really pretty river. We met up with nicco (nicko) and Micha there and sat outside trying a dark cherry beer and a lighter beer brewed with melon. Really really good and so much fun. I only fell on the bike once, on the way home down a steep hill. Lol. I scraped my hands and an elbow, and bruised my leg a little but over all I'm just fine :p then we got european style pizza at home and had a movie watching night in.

Day 4: just finishing up packing for Prague! We will take the train, and we have a little room like in Harry potter :p we will be there till Thursday and then take the train back. Will update from Prague soon!
